Our Story
Rabbi Sholom and Dina Ciment moved to Boynton Beach in 1994 with a dream to build a Jewish community and to create a vibrant home for young Jewish families.
Integral to this plan was the need for a nurturing educational space for children in their early years. Plans for an educational center of collaborative learning and growth, staffed by loving, heart-centered Morahs, began to take shape.
And so it began. In 2003 the precious voices of these earnest children began to be heard in the newly constructed Jewish Early Childhood Center of Boynton. With a foundation cast in Judaism’s timeless heritage, guided discovery and exciting achievements were immersed in a practice of Conscious Discipline.
The classrooms and recreation space exuded the wonders of nature. Areas equipped with modern play-grounds fostered complete safety and loving warmth. This priceless foundation in a child’s most formative years was their dream come true. 17 years later, our extraordinary preschool is buzzing with life and love.
The most supportive community of families and educators have developed a synergy that is TRULY one of a kind. The palpable excitement for life and learning is felt the moment you walk in the door.
This is Beit Blumi JECC of today.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Beit Blumi Jewish Early Childhood Center is a quaint, intimate and modern Jewish preschool inspired by the core principles of the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
Our aim is to connect children to the beauty of the natural world in a mindful learning environment. Our curriculum is holistically woven with the timeless values and morals of our heritage. A hundred languages expressed through the children’s guided painting, music, movement and dramatic play bring to life our schools foremost ideals.
As passionate and caring educators, we listen to our children and support them with a variety of tools to help them find the answers they seek. Each child's unique style of exploration and discovery is encouraged throughout their learning process. Every young voice is honored and respected. Academic and developmental benchmarks are carefully tracked by our faculty, ensuring progress in reaching individualized goals. Our foremost wish is to see our Beit Blumi children flourish as each is guided through the process of discovery, connection and growth.
